We use the RAPTOR on parts of the land that are always causing trouble with agriculture and are difficult to control. Since we are dealing mainly with small-scale agriculture with dairy farms, minimal damage to meadows is relevant. As a large private forest owner with approx. 10.000 ha of own hunting we are therefore faced with great challenges in wild boar hunting. It is important to think of strategies to avert and control the damage. Thus we put a lot of pressure on wild boars on the agricultural areas and hunt in the forest mainly by large scale movement hunts for wild boars. The RAPTOR seems to be a useful addition, but it must be used intelligently. I believe that the device is particularly effective where wild boars are hunted heavily and negative associations with the device are linked to it by shooting. I have a little difficulty with the awarding of stars, as there is certainly no 100% protection against wild boar damage by scaring devices possible! Of the devices I know, the RAPTOR has been the safest deterrent so far. But it is also the most expensive version! Would give 3 to 4 stars! small-scale agriculture with dairy farms, minimal damage to meadows is relevant.
